The tree climbing goats in Morocco are a fascinating sight that attracts many tourists. These goats have learned to climb the branches of the argan tree, a thorny and prickly tree that produces a fruit with a nut inside. The goats are drawn to the fruit, which they eat and digest, leaving behind the nut. The nut is used to make argan oil, a valuable product for cosmetics and cooking. Some farmers encourage the goats to climb the trees, as they help clean the nuts and spread the seeds. Â We saw these funny animals on our way from the High Atlas Mountains to Essaouria. Â They were friendly, and the "kids" came up to us for treats.
